Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about tendering, buffers, and how request-to-book works — without invented awards or fake guarantees.
Common questions
Do you take payment online?+
No. This site uses request-to-book only. You open an email to hello@guernseyshoreexcursions.com; we reply to confirm whether the date works. No payment is taken at enquiry.
How do cruise ships call at Guernsey?+
Guernsey cruise calls generally tender into St Peter Port. Passengers typically walk from the landing / Albert Quay area into town. Time to get ashore varies — we do not invent fixed tender or queue times. Always follow your ship’s advice on the day.
How many guests are on the Coastal Highlights tour?+
Typically up to six guests in a 7-seat vehicle (driver-guide + up to 6). A 4-seat vehicle may be available when commercially confirmed. Capacity is confirmed on request — we never claim live inventory online. Larger parties should enquire.
How long is the tour?+
About three hours of guided time. We recommend it when your published hours ashore leave a comfortable buffer after tendering both ways.
Are prices listed on the website?+
No. Pricing is unpublished here. We discuss arrangements when we reply to your request.
Is the schedule guaranteed?+
No. Times come from Guernsey Ports / Guernsey Harbours publications when imported and remain subject to change. Re-check closer to sailing. An empty list on this site simply means the import is pending — manual ship entry still works.
Who operates Guernsey Shore Excursions?+
Wow Atour operates the direct small-group tour promoted on this site. Contact hello@guernseyshoreexcursions.com.
What if my ship is not on the list?+
Use the manual date option in the planner or request form and tell us your vessel name. Harbour lists can lag private itineraries.
Need help planning your Guernsey call?
Tell us your ship date and how long you expect ashore after tendering — we will reply with an honest fit for the Coastal Highlights tour or suggest a simpler St Peter Port day.
